Monday
Monday Noon Dream Group Begins January 11th 12:30pm - 2:00pm Meditation Room Led by Elizabeth Conrad The Rev. John Sanford referred to dreams as “God’s Forgotten Language.” He said that he began working with his dreams through dream analysis finding many insights. “He became struck by the fact that the bible also believed in dream analysis. The point of view of the Bible was that God spoke through dreams. He began to see in his own dreams a spirit at work that seemed to have a goal in mind that transcended his ego and its meager bit of consciousness.” (Dreams: God’s Forgotten Language) Join us as we explore how God speaks to us through dreams. All members of the dream groups should have a copy of Natural Spirituality - Recovering the Wisdom Tradition in Christianity by Joyce Rockwood Hudson. This is a good foundational book. This semester the groups will be reading: The Man Who Wrestled With God by John A. Sanford. Anyone curious about their dreams is invited.

* * *Book Discussion Group A New Earth - Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose by Eckhart Tolle “With his bestselling spiritual guide The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle inspired millions of readers to discover the freedom and joy of a life lived “in the now.” In A New Earth, Tolle expands on these powerful ideas to show how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world. Tolle describes how our attachment to the ego creates the dysfunction that leads to anger, jealousy, and unhappiness, and shows readers how to awaken to a new state of consciousness and follow the path to a truly fulfilling existence.” If you are interesting in being a part of a discussion group for this book contact Elizabeth: 254-4497 or elizabeth@ccclex.org.
