 The Cathedral provides several special music events throughout the calendar year. Evensong is offered usually every other Sunday and is the name given to a fully sung Evening Prayer service. It is based on the
monastic office of Vespers and is made up of Psalms, scripture readings
and prayer. Other seasonal favorites include Handel's Messiah ( offered in late November / early December), A Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols, and the week of Lent.
