- The sacrament of Holy Matrimony at Christ Church Cathedral is available to our members (and their children) that have been in good standing for at least one year.
- The Cathedral is also available to members in good standing of other parishes in the Diocese of Lexington.
- Others, who do not fall into the previous categories, may be considered with approval of a Cathedral Priest.
- All marriages at the Cathedral must be performed by a Priest on staff at Christ Church or another Priest in the Diocese of Lexington with a Cathedral Priest assisting.
- At least one of the couple to be married must have been baptized. The couple must complete counseling with the Priest prior to the wedding.
- If either party has been divorced, the godly judgment of the Bishop of the Diocese of Lexington must be obtained before a date can be set. The official divorce decree must be submitted with the application.
- Weddings are not performed during the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent.
